The media buyer is software now.
What a media buyer actually does all day, and which half of it a machine does better.
A media buyer has one job: move money toward what is working and away from what is not, faster than the market changes. Most of that job is not creative. It is checking numbers, noticing a trend two days before it becomes obvious, and having the discipline to kill something you were excited about on Monday.
That half should be software. Adzie runs the loop: read the account, form a view, make the change, log it, check whether it worked. Every 30 minutes, without needing to be reminded or paid a retainer.
Reads the account, not just the dashboard
Every cycle pulls spend, CPC, CVR, CPM, CTR and conversions per campaign, then derives estimated net profit rather than stopping at ROAS. Profit is the objective; ROAS is one input to it.
Forms a view before it acts
Each agent reasons in the open: whether the sample is significant, whether the campaign is still in its learning phase, whether pacing explains the dip. You see the reasoning, not just the verdict.
Acts inside limits you set
Conservative, Balanced or Autopilot, plus granular toggles. Anything outside your limits asks first. Every change is written to an audit log with a five-minute one-click undo.
Remembers what it already tried
Decisions are written to a per-account memory, so the next cycle knows what was tested and what it cost. It stops re-running the experiment that failed last week.
What it will not do
It will not fix a bad offer. If the product, the price or the landing page is wrong, no amount of budget reallocation rescues it. An AI media buyer just finds out faster, and for less money, than you would have.
It will not invent data it does not have. On a new pixel with no conversion history the honest answer is that the first few days are a guess, and Adzie says so rather than dressing up noise as a recommendation.
And it will not quietly outspend you. Daily budget limits are enforced server-side and tracked cumulatively across a full 24 hours, so a night of back-to-back cycles cannot compound into a number you never approved.
Common questions
For the mechanical half of the job, watching numbers, reallocating budget and catching a spend anomaly at 3am, it is better because it never stops looking. For positioning, offer strategy and knowing your customer, a good human is still ahead. Most small brands do not have that human, which is the comparison that actually matters.
